Before:
George was a typically developing child until 2nd grade. That's when he started a sudden and scary decline. He couldn't write anymore, lost his math skills, and began acting out with severe behavioral problems. He began to run away from school campus, then stopped attending school altogether.
After:
Today you wouldn't know George had ever experienced severe health challenges. He is a thriving 14-year old boy with his sights set on attending a top college!
Doctors shrugged their shoulders. They simply couldn’t help alleviate George’s many symptoms. Thankfully, his parents took his healing into their own hands with diet and lifestyle changes. And that has made all the difference.

No help for a sick boy

Until 2nd grade, George had been an excellent student. Then, mysteriously and suddenly, George developed a host of troubling symptoms. He was diagnosed with dysgraphia (an inability to write coherently), anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and oppositional defiant disorder. He completely lost his math skills. Eventually, he could not even attend class. In fact, he started running away from school – literally!- running off campus to escape how difficult school had become.

Desperate, his family sought medical expertise. In total, they spent over $15,000 on doctors who suggested various cognitive therapies and behavioral medications, along with every kind of antidepressant drug. But nothing helped.

The truth was that doctors had no idea how to treat George, or why he had suddenly developed these symptoms.

A Diagnosis

Finally, George was diagnosed with PANDAS/PANS (pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcal infection), an autoimmune condition that causes all kinds of behavioral, mood, and very concerning neurological symptoms.

But George’s parents refused to put him on medications. Instead, they decided to treat the underlying root causes of his condition.

Treating the Root Causes

First George was treated for chronic underlying strep and mycoplasma infections. At that time, they also discovered he had severe allergies to peanuts and penicillin, and 27 food sensitivities. His immune system was out of balance and needed to be revitalized.

The most significant changes his family made were to his diet and his environment. Miraculously, once these changes were in place and his infections were treated, George’s symptoms completely disappeared.

Now 14 and a top student in his freshman class, George is excelling in advanced math and writing. He loves sports and looks forward to the day he will attend a top college.
