Documenting Hope Key Therapeutic Areas

Children who have different chronic illness diagnoses (autism, asthma, allergies, ADHD, obesity, autoimmunity, mood disorders, etc.) actually share similar disturbances in immune and metabolic function, nutritional status and toxic body burden.

KEY THERAPEUTIC AREAS

Children who have different chronic illness diagnoses (autism, asthma, allergies, ADHD, obesity, autoimmunity, mood disorders, etc.) actually share similar disturbances in immune and metabolic function, nutritional status and toxic body burden. We hypothesize that intensive multivariate longitudinal laboratory tracking of our study participants will reveal problems at the levels of inflammatory markers, markers of mitochondrial dysfunction, markers of oxidative stress, disturbances of bioenergetics, methylation and lipid metabolism and gastrointestinal microbiome imbalance that are diagnosis non-specific and have commonalities across participants. There is ample literature supporting links across disease categories.
